- Surbhi Sarna Founder

As a teenager, Ms. Sarna suffered from intense pelvic pain caused by what turned out to be an ovarian cyst. Realizing how patients and clinicians often lacked definitive diagnostic tools to make informed decisions, she set out to bring such innovation to the field. After spending a decade building and leading teams and taking medical devices from concept to market, Ms. Sarna founded nVision in 2011, driven by her passion to fill the void in women’s health.
Ms. Sarna is an inventor on a dozen patents and has been recognized as a leading healthcare entrepreneur by Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, TEDMED, and Bloomberg.
She received her BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley.
- David Snow Vice President
Research & Development HIDE ABOUT
Mr. Snow joined nVision soon after its founding and has led its research and development efforts since. He has over 25 years of experience developing medical devices in start-up environment. Prior to joining nVision, he held R&D leadership positions at Medina Medical (acquired by Medtronic), BioCardia, XTENT (IPO), Fox Hollow (IPO, acquired by ev3), and Heartport (IPO, acquired by Johnson & Johnson). He is an inventor on 30+ U.S. patents.
Mr. Snow earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
- Mika Nishimura Vice President

Ms. Nishimura is a senior executive with over 20 years of experience in successfully building businesses in the medtech markets. Prior to joining nVision in 2015, Ms. Nishimura drove early commercialization of a first-of-a-kind diagnostic technology in the IVF field at Auxogyn, Inc. as their VP Commercial Development. Her previous positions include VP of International Sales, Operations and Marketing at ev3 and Director of Marketing at Guidant Vascular where she started and built franchises contributing significant, consistent revenue and profit growth with operations in over 30 markets.
Ms. Nishimura holds a BA , summa cum laude in Economics with distinction from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
- Wendy Heigel Vice President
Quality HIDE ABOUT
Ms. Heigel is a seasoned consultant and executive with extensive experience in creating, implementing, streamlining, and managing FDA and ISO 13485 compliant quality systems and teams, for all product classes, and in all stages of development and commercialization. She has headed quality and held the Management Representative position at Topera Inc. (now Abbott), ForSight VISION4 (Genentech partnership), Ventus Medical, Clarity Medical Systems, and numerous start-ups such as InSight Medical, Innvotec Surgical (now Stryker), among others.
Ms. Heigel is a certified biomedical auditor and has a BS in Chemistry and a BS in Mathematics from the University of San Francisco.

Catalyst Health Ventures HIDE ABOUT
Ms. Zaveri is a Partner and a member of Catalyst’s investment committee with over a decade of experience in the health care and life science industries. She led Catalyst’s investments in Augmenix, Lantos Technologies, nVision Medical, Maxwell Health, Aria CV and Hepregen.
Prior to Catalyst, she was an Investigator at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and an integral part of the drug development programs in oncology, metabolic disease, and immunology. Previously she worked at Genome Therapeutics, a Massachusetts-based biotechnology company, at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and completed an internship at the United Nations.
Darshana received an MBA from Harvard University, a MS in Cell and Molecular Biology from Boston University, and a BS in Biochemistry from Bombay University in Bombay, India.
- Tom Shehab, M.D. Principal,
Arboretum Ventures HIDE ABOUT
Dr. Shehab joined Arboretum Ventures in 2014 after serving as a member of Arboretum’s Technical Advisory Board and as a board member of an Arboretum portfolio company, ArborMetrix.
Prior to joining Arboretum, Dr. Shehab spent 12 years as a physician executive and practicing physician specializing in gastroenterology. He was involved in a number of entrepreneurial healthcare related ventures and held multiple senior leadership roles. Most recently, Dr. Shehab served as Chief of Staff for more than 1,000 physicians at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor and as the Chair of Medicine for Integrated Health Associates (IHA), a multi-specialty group consisting of 300+ providers. Both St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and IHA are part of Trinity Health.
Dr. Shehab received his BS in Biology/Pre Med at Bowling Green State University and his MD from Wayne State University. He completed residency in internal medicine as the Chief Medical Resident and rellowship in gastroenterology at University of Michigan. He also received an MMM from Carnegie Mellon University.
